A final note before we begin
We're ready, and you? :)
The Tiny Book Writer’s Room opens its doors tomorrow.
The writers who’ve signed up come from different countries, but they all have the same goal: write and publish a tiny nonfiction book they can be proud of.
I believe in human connection, books, and human writing, and the Room is a space that celebrates all three.
It’s a place where we write, interact, invent, ask, discuss, comment, create, suggest, recommend, give, and receive. It’s where we can find “the others” and get the right support to turn our creative writing ideas into a finished product.
But where did the idea for an online group of writers come from?
It was partly inspired by my own experience as a member of an online community. From 2021 to 2023, I subscribed to the Smart Teachers Library, an international group of language teachers that wanted to connect and build their own teaching businesses.
Had I not joined that community, I wouldn’t have met Cara, who then offered me a ghostwriting position at StoryLearning, one of the world’s largest language learning blogs.
I wouldn’t have met Trisha, who became my writing coach when I was working on my first tiny book for language learners.
I wouldn’t have met Rachel, who helped me proofread the teaching materials I was creating for Stolaroid Stories, my language learning podcast at the time.
Martin, Claire, Anne, Maria — the list of helpful people I met there goes on.
When Elena, the person who’s still running this community, asked me to write a testimonial about it, I didn’t hesitate.
I wrote:
I’ve been a member of the Library for over a year now. I found useful resources there, but what’s most valuable is the relationships I’ve created with the members. This too has been helping me grow both as a teacher and solopreneur.
Now I want to offer you a similar opportunity for connection and growth inside the Tiny Book Writer’s Room, and if you’d like to join us, we’re ready to welcome you.
The monthly subscription costs about as much as a book (10-15 euros), and this is the Google form to apply.
But if this is not for you, no worries. Keep enjoying life. Keep writing. And apologies if my latest emails and posts have all been about this new project that you may not be so interested in.
After the Room closes its doors on Monday night, 2nd March, I’ll resume my typical Substack activity on this channel.
Always grateful for your attention as a reader. 🙏🏻
Thanks a lot — I hope to see you in the Room.
Speak soon,
Fabio

The time to join is finally right! Hope you'll have me!
